Who can take out Wedding Insurance?
Wedding Insurance must be taken out by either the marriage or civil partners or one of their parents. All policyholders must be over 18 years old.
What if the couple change their mind?
Unfortunately, changing your mind is not insured under the policy.
Why does the venue require Public Liability cover?
Wedding venues often include within their contract a stipulation that the wedding couple take out Public Liability insurance. This can range in limits from £2m up to £10m. This is to protect against damage caused to the venue by the wedding party and guests. Most wedding insurances include Public Liability. In the event of a request for an unusually high limit owing to the cultural significance of the venue then we can create a bespoke Public Liability quotation to dovetail the wedding insurance.
When is the best time to buy wedding insurance?
Policies can be taken out up to two years before the event in order to ensure that your deposits are protected. It is prudent to take up the insurance at the earliest opportunity. After all you are investing a lot of time and money into your wedding and it deserves to be protected.
