We insure a significant portion of the wedding car market. As a result, we cover all sorts of niche and wonderful vehicles. What’s interesting is the list of vehicles that are related to TV shows and films. Some are replicas of famous vehicles while others have actually featured in productions. Without further ado, here is a selection of wedding cars insured by us that are related to TV and film.

Bergerac Triumph Roadster

This 1949 Triumph Roadster is provided by wedding-car.co.uk. The model was popularised in the TV series Bergerac which ran from 1981-1991. The lead role of Jim Bergerac was played by John Nettles who went on to play DCI Tom Barnaby in the detective drama Midsomer Murders. This particular car was used in an interview on the set of Midsomer Murders with John Nettles who discussed his time filming Bergerac.

The Love Bug

This Volkswagen Beetle by 81avdubs.co.uk has been styled to resemble the much loved Herbie who featured in several motion pictures by Walt Disney starting with the 1968 film The Love Bug. This Beetle has been signed by Dean Jones who played the lead role. The car was also voted the 11^th most original by the Herbie worldwide fan club.

Grease Lightning

This 1948 Ford De Luxe by Rusty Tractor has been styled to resemble the iconic ‘Grease Lightning’ from the world famous 1978 musical film Grease. The car is a popular choice for grooms and their entourages.

Hollywood Hummer

This Hummer H2 by danwallercars.com has been used in TV series such as The Sopranos, CSI Miami, NCIS, Agents of S.H.E.I.L.D. and films such as Bad Boys II.

Friends & Pulp Fiction Cab

This 1979 Checker Marathon cab by Bob Gladstone featured in the smash hit sitcom Friends and Quentin Tarantino’s iconic crime film Pulp Fiction. It has just been used for the Elton John biographical film, Rocketman.

Only Fools and Horses

Lovely Jubbly! This Reliant Robin by delboytrottervanhire.com is an exact replica of the vehicle used by Del Boy and Rodney in the much loved British sitcom Only Fools and Horses. The vehicle even featured on an episode of Lorraine with Sir David Jason. The van comes with a series of props from the show providing all round laughs for couples on their wedding day.

The Mummy Returns Beauford

This Beauford by idoweddingcars.uk was made by Beauford for Universal Studios and features in the film The Mummy Returns. The vehicle was driven by the lead character played by Brendan Fraser and named after his character’s wife, Evie who was played by Rachel Weisz.

Jurassic Park Jeep

This Jeep Wrangler by keyholemotors.com is a replica of the theme park Jeeps featured in the film Jurassic Park. Couples that hire the Jeep tend to request photos in the forest so they can recreate the setting of the iconic film franchise.

Jaguar MK2

The Jaguar Mark 2 is fondly remembered as the car used by actor John Thaw in the popular detective drama series Inspector Morse. This car, provided by classicweddingcarscheshire.com, was used for a wedding where the groom, a huge Star Wars fan, was surprised by the 99^th Garrison.

Strictly Come Dancing Beauford

This Beauford by arnageexecutivehire.co.uk was used for an episode of the long-running BBC television dance contest Strictly Come Dancing with the late Sir Bruce Forsyth.
